I tend to find myself thinking the stage my kids are at right now is the best (
and sometimes worst) stage in their life. I am a sucker for them growing up and interacting with me more. And the adorable, and sometimes embarrassing, things that come out of their mouths...there's nothing better.
But I am also a sucker for looking back and getting all mushy about the times we had. Looking at a baby Connor warms my heart so much. On the one hand, it feels like we just lived these moments. On the other, it feels like a lifetime ago and the details are getting more and more grainy by the day.
On a unemotional note, I really don't think my kids look alike at all. I feel like they fall into the same category as my older brother and I; my brother looks like my mom and me like my dad...well, I guess Connor and Isla are the opposite. Connor favors Ian and Isla me...though a lot of that has to do with skin tones and hair color!
One thing is for sure though, both these kids of mine are spitfires. I love being their mommy and couldn't imagine life without them.
And just in case you want to take a walk down memory lane, here are the comparisons from when they were 19 months, 16 months, 8 months, 5 months and wee little babes.
