Whenever my house gets a little too quiet, I should always assume Connor is up to something. My first reaction is always that he must be reading or quietly playing somewhere. HELLO Jessica! Have you actually met your toddler?!
This afternoon after putting in a load of laundry, I came back in the house to discover Connor was no longer playing in the playroom. A search found him in my room. He unmade my bed and crawled in it. At first, I was overwhelmed with the cuteness of it all.
As I got closer, I realized this cute little person didn't just decide to climb into his parent's bed for an impromptu nap. No, he crawled in his parent's bed to play with an iphone. What impressed me is not the fact that he was playing with the iphone, but that the phone was actually off and he managed to turn it on. This is a skill I did not know he possessed. And he has now taken my last line of defense in keeping him from playing on the phone when I don't want him to.
Oh kid, its a good thing you are cute. And obviously smart. And your mama, she is still going to imagine a little bit that you were crawling up in her bed wanting to cuddle and take a nap. Sounds nice, doesn't it?
Have a Cozy Weekend.
